Souha Bechara - Résistante Libanaise

Souha Bechara, born in Beirut on June 15, 1967, is a Lebanese resistance activist who, at the age of twenty, was arrested and then detained in the clandestine prison of Khiam for having attempted to assassinate General Antoine Lahd of the South Lebanon Army.

The South Lebanon Army is a Christian militia armed, trained and financed by Israel and which controlled until May 2000 the “security zone” created by Israel in southern Lebanon.
